Join Our Roller Derby Team

We welcome all ready to lace up their skates and experience the excitement and challenge of roller derby. Our league offers a supportive environment where you can learn the basics, build your skills, and grow into a competitive player. With dedicated training sessions, experienced coaches, and a passionate team, you’ll find everything you need to thrive on the track.

As a WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) member league, we follow specific guidelines and requirements to ensure fair and competitive play. Skaters must meet the following criteria to be part of our WFTDA team.

  • Attend Regular Practices: Commit to regular training sessions to develop skills, improve fitness, and build team cohesion.

  • Join our FM Program and learn how to complete the basics of the sport of Roller Derby. This means skating stride, stops, falls, and basic gameplay.

  • Complete Minimum Skills Requirements: Successfully pass WFTDA/PanU minimum skills assessments to ensure safety and preparedness for competitive play.

  • Participate in League Activities: Engage in league activities, meetings, and community events to support the team and league growth.

  • Adhere to the WFTDA Code of Conduct: Uphold the WFTDA Code of Conduct, which promotes sportsmanship, respect, and inclusivity on and off the track.

  • Be a Registered WFTDA Member: Maintain active membership status within the league and WFTDA, including any necessary dues and paperwork.

FAQ

  • No! Our Bootcamp Training System is designed to teach you everything from basic skating skills to full-contact derby gameplay.

  • You’ll need quad skates, a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards, and a mouthguard. We may have loaner gear available for beginners, so ask us about availability.

  • We’ll teach you! Our training program covers the rules of the game, strategies, and safety measures.

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old to join as a skater. For referees, NSOs, and volunteers, we welcome all adults.
